Japan’s Amari: 99% chance sales tax hike proceeds as planned in October

Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party and a member of the lower house Akira Amari was on wires, via Reuters, during early Wednesday.

Mr. Amari reiterated recent comments from Japanese policymakers that the planned sales tax hike bears 99% positive chances to get activated in upcoming October.

However, doubts over the global economic growth and not so strong data from Japan have been questioning the government’s initiative off-late.
