AUD/USD recovers from 3 ½-year low
FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Australian dollar managed to recover ground versus the greenback Monday as risk sentiment improved a tad during the European session.
The AUD/USD climbed more than 80 pips throughout the day, recovering from a multi-year low of 0.8659 scored last Friday, and hit a high of 0.8755 in recent dealings. At time of writing, the AUD/USD is treading at the 0.8745 area, recording a 0.6% gain following 2 consecutive day of losses.
AUD/USD technical levels
In terms of technical levels, the AUD/USD could find immediate resistances at 0.8755 (Jan 27 high), 0.8788 (100-hour SMA) and 0.8800 (psychological level). On the downside, supports are seen at 0.8675 (Jan 27 low) and 0.8659 (Jan 24 low).
